Creating geometric forms is a kind of meditation. When I have nothing to do, my hand begins to draw geometric figures on paper by itself. Connecting things in perspective, bending them, leading them into the background or bringing them forward toward me. Constructing such forms gives me a sense of order and completeness, stability and protection. In ceramics, they acquire the texture of a surface, and they can be turned and rotated. That is what I love about ceramics — these objects can be felt physically.
