Gothic
In the process of working, I often feel as though I am wandering through the labyrinths of my own creation. Around every turn there is the unknown, a mystery hidden in the interweaving of arches, columns, and sharp spires. The half-light beneath the vaults keeps its silence, while the yielding clay itself suggests the path, leading toward unexpected forms and decisions. At times, it is precisely this unpredictability, this mystery of the final outcome, that makes the creative process so compelling.
In every curve of a clay wall, in every shadow cast by a fantastical column, there lies the possibility of discovery, a new turn of thought, an unexpected solution. It is precisely this freedom from a preconceived plan, this play of chance combined with persistent labor, that allows unique creations to come into being, full of life and unrepeatable energy.
